YouTube Search Explorer
Find public videos, channels and playlists. Choose a keyword, content type and sorting order to explore a focused set of results.
Find YouTube content with a focused search
Start with a specific subject, creator name or question. Choose videos for individual uploads, channels to discover publishers, or playlists for courses and series. Relevance prioritizes results YouTube considers a match, while upload date is useful for finding recent material. The first result set contains up to 12 items.
Use sorting to answer different research questions
Search for the same phrase using relevance and upload date to compare established material with newer uploads. View-count ordering can help locate widely watched references, but popularity does not establish accuracy or suitability. Titles and thumbnails help you decide what to inspect; open the video statistics tool for public counts and publication context.
Understand search coverage
Search results are a selected response, not a complete inventory. The approximate result count can differ from the number of accessible items, and rankings can change. A keyword appearing in a title does not imply a measured search volume. This tool does not provide advertiser demand or private audience data.
